Ōtaki College Pool Thermal Solar Array
In 2017/18 Energise Ōtaki facilitated the redeployment of some of the thermal solar panels previously used at the Ōtaki Swimming Pool to the Ōtaki College swimming pool.

KCDC and Electra, installed a 2.0 kilowatt-peak solar system on the Ōtaki Library and Memorial Hall to demonstrate solar technology to the public

Ōtaki Energy Co-operative
The Ōtaki Energy Co-operative Ltd. trading as Coastal Energy has been established in 2014 as a mechanism to achieve direct investment in renewable energy production projects in Ōtaki and its surrounds. Several projects have been completed, among others an installation at Te Kura-ā-Iwi O Whakatupuranga Rua Mano in Tasman Road.
