EV Charging Station

In 2016 Energise Ōtaki lobbied for the installation of a high speed electric vehicle charging station to be installed in Ōtaki and facilitated discussions with the New World supermarket on the Highway to have one installed. Ōtaki is well-located in terms of distances from Wellington for one to be very useful to electric vehicle users.

The station was installed in early 2017 and was the first EV Charging Station on the Kāpiti Coast.
