In 2018 and 2019 Ōtaki Kindergarten had a bicycle created for them that when pedalled created electricity in order to charge cellphones.
From time to time the government has provided funding to assist in the insulation of homes which Energise Ōtaki has helped to promote. Development of the Solar Farm Community Investment Fund will enable us to work more actively in this area.
