The 2013 Little Greenie project involved constructing a demonstration home that is healthier, more sustainable and more energy efficient and teaching young trainee builders Little Greenie design principles.  This was a 2013 project run through the WelTec Carpentry Course based at the Clean Technology Centre.  The house built by the students has since been sold and moved to Ohakune, a location which will make great use of its superior insulation performance.  The Little Greenie project continues in partnership with the Hikurangi Foundation and is supported by the Kpaiti Coast District Council.  For further information:  http://hikurangi.org.nz/ventures/housing/little-greenie-building-education/
