The following organisations provide funding which may be useful to you in advancing a project:

EECA

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority provides advice, undertakes projects and has some funding available.   http://www.eeca.govt.nz/eeca-programmes-and-funding/funding

World Wildlife Fund

The World Wildlife Fund has a number of moderate sized funds mainly for community projects.  The most relevant for any energy projects is the fund which provides for school based projects.  http://www.wwf.org.nz/what_we_do/community_funding/funding_for_schools

Kapiti Coast District Council

The Kapiti Coast District Council is very supportive of innovation in the areas of water, waste minimisation and energy.  If you have a project that involves waste minimisation which is also linked to energy generation or energy conservation look at the Waste reduction Fund. http://www.kapiti.coast.govt.nz/Your-Council/A…Z-Council-Services-and-Facilities/Rubbish-and-Recycling/Waste-Reduction-Grants/

The Council has a clean technology innovation fund which provides support for the development of new technologies on the Kapiti Coast.  The focus is on those initiatives which will lead to job creation on the Kapiti Coast.   Information on the grant criteria can be found at:

The Council has an energy fund which it applies to a range of Council projects to reduce its energy use and reduce climate change emissions.  It may also use this fund for community projects.  This fund is fully allocated until 2016.  Information on future availability may be obtained closer to that date from the Council’s Climate Change and Energy Advisor.

Wellington Community Trust

Lion Foundation
